For Ages 10-18
This camp is designed to provide clear and concise instruction for the beginning and intermediate tennis player with an emphasis on proper technique. The course will cover the fundamentals of the volley, the forehand, the backhand, the overhead and the serve as well as an introduction to the fundamentals of movement and scorekeeping. Good sportsmanship and proper tennis etiquette will also be emphasized.
It is recommended that all campers come with their own racquets but if that is not possible we do have loaners for those who have not yet purchased a frame. These classes are taught primarily outside, so provisions should be made to protect the campers from the extremes of weather, ie. sunscreen, caps, and sunglasses, if necessary.
The course will be taught by Coach Larry Graham who is the director of tennis services at Richard Craig Park and is a USPTA/PTR certified tennis coach with experience at both the amateur and professional levels of competition.
